What kind of hotel do you prefer: a western style hotel or a more traditional one?

I’d love to try a traditional one if I got the chance. I’ve only stayed in western style rooms in China.

When using 太太, can you use the person’s maiden name as well as her husband’s name? i.e. If I know someone is married and I don’t know her husband’s family name, can I use her family name followed by 太太 or should I use something else?

Hi Khiem,

I found two traditional style hotels in Beijing for your reference, I’ve never stayed there though

Regarding the 太太 question, it is only used with the husband’s last name, just like “Mrs.” in English. If you’re uncertain how to address a lady, you can use 女士 ( nǚshì ), it has the same usage as “Ms.”

Let us know if you have more questions!
