pinyin on the flashcards in the learning center

Postby jaredh » May 28th, 2009 12:12 pm

I would like the option to show the pinyin on the flashcards in the learning center.

Thanks
Jared

I would also like this option. This is the option I would use the most when viewing Hanzi.

I would like to have the pinyin option, too, preferably on the "show answer" side.

Too many Chinese learning sites these days focus too much attention on characters. Reading/writing characters is less important than knowing the correct tones. Not having pinyin on the flash cards is unbelieveable to me. These flashcard issues have been raised for a couple years now with no improvement. It appears that the designers are happy with their income as it is and feel no need to improve the site. The site has lots to offer but the integration of the study materials is what could set this site apart from the others.

I totally agree, this has been requested for years now and no-one seems to give a stuff... even more important is having simplified characters on the flashcards... only about 50 million chinese speakers use traditional characters whereas over a billion use simplified... its totally ridiculous... i'm asking for my money back

I have started learning Chinese 3 years ago, and i'm completely sure that it is worth knowing traditional as well as simplified characters. Thus, knowledge of simplified character won't mobile spy make you able to deal with written Chinese. Just think of it.

Hi everyone,

This is a really great suggestion. I will pass it on to the tech team and see if our engineers can't implement it in a future release. Thank you for your comments, and keep the suggestions coming!
