Mei Tsur

Postby EvilTeaCup » April 24th, 2010 5:46 pm

Hi, I was wondering what mei third tone and tsur fourth tone meant. Sorry, not sure how to properly type pinyin with the tones. Anyway, I hear Echo frequently say mei tsur in the beginner podcasts and I really want to know what it means! Thank you :)

没错! (mei2 cuo4)

Really common phrase that literally means, "not mistaken". Echo's really saying "that's right" or "good job" or "you got it".

@EvilTeaCup

This site http://www.pinyinjoe.com/ can tell you how to type pinyin on your computer. It has the instructions for various computer platforms.

Also, ChineseClass101 has a chart to help you learn pinyin, http://www.chineseclass101.com/learning ... nyin_chart

Hope this helps.

My pleasure. I'm not really interested in learning how to write Chinese. I'd prefer to focus my efforts on speaking, listening, and reading. Knowing PinYin makes it possible to write if you communicate by computer.
