Hi

Are you going to classify videos by amount of Chinese content? There should be a set like Anthony's (?) video on the Sichuan earthquake with some Chinese words, and a set like this insect video which is all Chinese and asks the student to remember entire sentences, and an intermediate set with Chinese people speaking Chinese showing what Chinese life is like and focuses on high-frequency phrases used in China.

@zhouli

Well, to make sense of English, you often need to have some appreciation for

Latin and Greek. You're not being overconfident! :smile:

@zhoul,

We call it "lady bug", I believe the Brits call it "lady bird". Either way, the "lady" is somewhat of an enigma. I would say the Chinese name makes more sense. I've observed that Chinese is somewhat practical, right? :smile:

@LanZi.

"Seven Star Insect"?? I suppose because of the spots. Again, Chinese demonstrates its practicality!

ladybug is also an interesting name, I've never thought a ็“ข่™ซis a lady. Well maybe we have, like in my dialect the lady bug is called ๆ–ฐๅจ˜ๅญ๏ผŒwhich means bride.:grin:

็“ข่™ซ -- literally "ladle insect" or "dipper insect". Interesting, never thought of a lady bug being shaped like a ladle, but I can see that it is.
