| In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you going to talk about?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to introduce a topic you want to talk about. |
| Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases! |
| Listen to the dialogue. |
| 你要讲什么？ (Nǐ yào jiǎng shénme?) |
| 我要讲我的爱好。 (Wǒ yào jiǎng wǒ de àihào.) |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| 你要讲什么？ (Nǐ yào jiǎng shénme?) |
| “What are you going to talk about?” |
| 我要讲我的爱好。 (Wǒ yào jiǎng wǒ de àihào.) |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you going to talk about?” |
| That's: |
| 你要讲什么？ (Nǐ yào jiǎng shénme?) |
| Listen to it again: |
| 你要讲什么？, 你要讲什么？ (Nǐ yào jiǎng shénme?, Nǐ yào jiǎng shénme?) |
| This Chinese sentence literally translates as “You want talk what?” |
| But it means “What are you going to talk about?”. |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| 我要讲 [topic]。 (Wǒ yào jiǎng [topic].) |
| “I'm going to talk about [topic].” |
| For example: |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
| 我要讲我的爱好。, 我要讲我的爱好。 (Wǒ yào jiǎng wǒ de àihào., Wǒ yào jiǎng wǒ de àihào.) |
