Damon: Maotai is a Chinese liquor produced in the town of Maotai, Guizhou Province. Maotai is very expensive, so people usually see it as a good gift rather than purely as a drink.

Damon: There is a popular adage: "Those that buy Maotai don’t drink it; those that drink Maotai don’t buy it".

Damon: A mooncake is a bakery product traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Mooncakes are usually put in nice packaging for purchase, and the better the packaging, the more expensive the mooncake.
