Hi Adam
I understand your concern. I've answered your comment in the lesson 'You're Welcome!' To be convenient for you, I repeat it here:
You may check other series of our lessons which are slower:
https://www.chineseclass101.com/lesson/learn-chinese-in-three-minutes-2-chinese-manners/?lp=66
https://www.chineseclass101.com/lesson/3minute-chinese-3-manners/?lp=60
Both of them are talking about how to say 'thank kou' and 'you are welcom', from various perspectives. And you can find many topics in those series.
Thanks for learning with us.

Again the same complaint, "a few seconds" should be more than one second.
That's not enough time to recall and repeat.
Why the hurry?
When I have to move to Hong Kong but how do you say that in Chinese?
Hi Graham,
Yes that is possibly a dialect variation, our hosts are from Beijing hence the geographic difference may lead to such variation in pronunciation. It's good that you can catch it

I'm Australian living in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The word for "this" when spoken here sounds more like "ji-ga" than "jah-ga". Also the word for "that" sounds like "ni-ga", not "nah-ga". Is this a dialect variation or am I just hearing wrong?
I've never been but I would love to go!! :)
