Converting website to html 5?

Postby backbaychef » May 5th, 2010 8:51 pm

Are there any plans to convert ChineseClass101 (and the other 101 sites for that matter) to html 5? I would love to be able to view the whole site on the ipad and iphone.

Hello backbaychef,

To start, I want to make sure everyone is aware that we have both a standard site and a mobile friendly site, both sharing the same content and lessons - but designed seperately to support the widest amount of devices:

http://www.chineseclass101.com
http://m.chineseclass101.com

As for our technical roadmap, you may be pleased to hear that we just released a brand new design on one of our sister sites http://www.italianpod101.com/index.php

Our initial goal for that design is to make lesson consumption easier and more intuitive. Over the next few months we will continue to modify and tweak the design before porting it to the other sites. We look forward to continually adding new functionality and support for new devices, while at the same time ensuring no one unnecessarily gets left behind.
