Hi Abe

Nice to meet you.

There is nothing unusual in your name 艾諳拜, just the middle character 諳 is not often used for names. 諳 is a nice verb, means 'to know (some science/technology/skill) very well'. If only leaving 艾拜 left, it's hard to voice it, since both have the same vowel [ai]. I recommend 艾比 [ài bǐ ], or 艾鹏 [ ài péng]. 比 means to compete, and 鹏 as a noun means a very huge bird in the legend. 艾 is a kind of plant that can be used in Chinese medicine. There are not really better words for [a] in Chinese.

Hi Trix

Nice to meet you.

Your Chinese name can be 特里克斯[ tè lǐ kè sī ],literally, but to be easier, you may tell Chinese people only 特里克, if you'd like it to be simple. Chinese doesn't have a consonant that sounds like [tr], so we have to split it into [ tè lǐ ]. Chinese consonant [r] doesn't sound like [r] in English.

Hi Ineta

Nice to meet you. You Chinese name can be 伊娜 [yī nà]. Here I put only 2 Chinese characters instead of 3, which are usually used for 3 syllable names. If I try to put 3 characters, there are not really nice Chinese ones that fit the 3rd syllable 'ta' as a girl name. 伊娜 is easier for Chinese people to catch, and for you to say it as well. These 2 characters don't really have meaning more than nice words for girls.

Thanks for learning with us.

Did you know Mark is an important character in a Chinese learning book by Peking University? And the character appeared in more than one series of their books. Its typical transliteration is 马克 [mǎ kè].
