POST CONVERSATION BANTER
Michael: In the conversation this time, we heard Linda and John set up a business meeting.
Dehua: They were able to set it up quickly.
Michael: They were! Do you have some advice for setting up meetings in China?
Dehua: It’s polite to schedule them one or two weeks in advance.
Michael: I suppose that you could try to avoid holidays, too.
Dehua: That’s right. A lot of workers are out of town during Chinese New Year or National Day.
Michael: Should you contact people again the day before the meeting to confirm it?
Dehua: Yes, you should.
Michael: As we’ve said before, be on time for the meeting.
Dehua: As people enter the room, stand up and greet them.
Michael: You should use both hands to give or receive any gifts or contracts.
