Hello! Chinese weekly words. Hi everyone and welcome to Chinese weekly words. This week, we are going to talk about Tableware. Yeah tableware. Okay.
Okay.
勺子(sháozi) can mean a "spoon” or a “ladle"
(Wǒ yòng sháozi hē tāng.)"I use a spoon to have my soup."
(Wǒ yòng sháozi hē tāng.)
咖啡 (kāfēi) “coffee”, 杯 (bēi) is either it could be a cup or a glass or a mug. So 咖啡杯(kāfēi bēi) means ”coffee mug”.
(Xīngbākè) It means "Starbucks". So that’s a Chinese name.
So “this is a Starbucks coffee mug.” (Zhè shì yí gè Xīngbākè de kāfēibēi.)
All right, we talked about 杯子(bēizi) is ”cup"
Cup, cup, cup, cup, cup! You know the cupcake. In Chinese 杯子蛋糕 (bēizi dàngāo)。蛋糕 (dàngāo) is “cake”, 杯子 (bēizi) is a “cup”, so “cupcake” is 杯子蛋糕 (bēizi dàngāo).
So you can say (Wǒ xǐhuān chī bēizi dàngāo.)"I like cupcakes."
盘子(pánzi) is a ”plate"
(Wǒ bù xiǎng xǐ pánzi.) means "I do not want to wash the plates."
(Wǒ bù xiǎng xǐ pánzi.) No, no, no!
茶壶(cháhú) is something you use to boil the tea. So it’s a "teapot"
茶壶(cháhú) is like this… Can you see my arm and this and this is a teapot.
(Wǒ shì yīgè dà cháhú).
(Zhè shì yí gè hěn piàoliang de cháhú.)"This is a pretty teapot."
So that’s the end. We talked about tableware and I hope you like this video and I will be here with you next week on Chinese weekly words. Bye bye.
